I’m Malachi Schmitz, a metalsmith, born, raised, and still growing in KC. My work focuses on representing natural things: not just plants, animals, and landscapes, but also gemstones and minerals, and how I can represent their natural beauty in my work. This approach leads to both more complex pieces that have a more intricate style, along with simpler pieces that really put the focus on a gemstone or mineral.
